Off-Season Development Program - updated Oct 24

Redmond High School Girls Basketball will be offering an off-season development program for RHS Girls Class of 2013-2016 (entering Freshman through Seniors for the School Year 2012-2013). that has something for everyone.

  • June Basketball with RHS Head Coach Andre Barashkoff, to include practices,  bootcamp, and tournament play for ALL Varsity and JV Players.
  • Spring Training Monday and/or Wednesday evenings starting in April, with Redmond Alumni and Professional Women's Basketball Player: Ashley Graham for ALL Players
  • Spring League and 2-4 Local Tournaments for Varsity Team with Coach Mark Jorgensen including Seattle MSNM Spring Fling, Yakima Best in West, Oregon City End of Trails & a Travel Tournament TBD (Santa Clara, San Diego or Maui); JV Team TBD
  • Fundraising for the program, to start with Jingle Bells Games Fri, Dec 2 (a fun night for Redmond Parks and Rec Teams/Players grades 1-4), and finishing with the Stangs Camp Mon-Thu, June 25-28
  • Ashley Graham to Direct the Stangs Camp, with help from the Varsity Players, help us spread the word!  HS Basketball BootCamp with Coach Andre Barashkoff to follow Camp

Playing on the Varsity Team requires a commitment to attending training, practices and games on a regular basis. The Spring Training for JV Players is not expected to replace the development experience a Player can get through an AAU Program, but provide a casual environment for Players to play some ball in the off season.   ALL Players (JV and Varsity) are expected to participate in June Training and Tournaments with the RHS Coaches.

A tentative schedule has been posted on the blog calendar. A schedule and budget for the program will be communicated immediately following the HS Season in early March. Cost of the Program will vary based on participation,  comparable to AAU teams, and offset by fundraising activities.
