Meet the Players:


2    Jordan Polk
Jordan began playing Redmond Select Basketball in the 6th grade. She continued to play through 9th grade. Jordan also played basketball at Evergreen Junior High School, one year JV and two years Varsity. She was voted Captain in 9th grade. When not playing basketball Jordan plays select soccer for Crossfire as a goalie and Defender. She also participates in National Honor Society and hopes to be apart of Drama Fest again. She maintains a 3.6 GPA. During her spare time she likes to read, hangout with friends, and go the beach. Jordan has high hopes for this season and is ready to get it started!

3    Christine Isherwood
Christine began playing basketball in first grade. She played on various AAU teams during her 1st-5th grade years, played for the Redmond Select Girls Basketball Club during her 5th-9th grade years, played for the Seattle Magic Girls Basketball Club during her 6th-7th grade years, played for the Puget Sound Flight Girls Basketball Club during her 8th-10th grade years, and played for Cloud 9 Sports her 11th grade year.  At Evergreen Junior High, Christine played one year of junior varsity basketball, winning the Offensive Player of the Year Award her 7th grade year, and two years of varsity basketball, winning the MVP Award her 9th grade year.  At Redmond High School , Christine played junior varsity and varsity basketball during her 10th grade year, varsity basketball during her 11thgrade year and was awarded Kingco 4A All Team Honorable Mention, and is currently playing varsity basketball during her 12th grade year.  Christine was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Oregon City Tournament in 2004.  Christine maintains a 3.4 GPA and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  Christine is looking forward to going to college at theUniversity of Montana where she will major in Business. 

5    Lina Perugini
Lina played rec basketball in elementary school while also pursuing
competitive gymnastics. She has played Select since 5th grade and has
been on many off-season teams including Seattle Magic and Puget Sound Flight. She was off one year in 8th grade with an ACL tear which was an interesting experience and helped her decide to pursue a career in physical therapy. Last summer she played on an independent team of  friends ,Cloud Nine Sports, and truly played "for the love of the game".  Her highlight so far in high school ball was as a sophomore in the State playoff game for 5th/8th place where she came off the bench to score a quick 8 points in the 2nd quarter and regain the lead. As a senior, Lina would love to experience State again and hopes to help lead the team there!  She is honored to be voted one of the captains by her teammates and coaches and has looks forward to her senior year on the court.

11    Alicia Valentine
Alicia started playing basketball in 1st grade for Redmond Parks and Recreation and it has been her life ever since.   She played for The Boys and Girls Club and Parks and Rec up until 4th grade.  Soccer was also a part of her life from the 2nd to 5th grade until she chose to dedicate herself full time to basketball. At the age of 9 she had to undergo laser eye surgery because of a tumor connected to her eye, part of which is still there today.  This road block in her life really jump started her more serious career in basketball.  She made the Redmond Select 6th grade team as a 5th grader and played for the program ever since.  She also played spring ball for Magic in 5th grade and 6th-9th grade she played for Puget Sound Flight.  For Redmond Junior High she played JV as a 7th grader and Varsity her 8th and 9th grade year.  Her 9th grade year she was captain and was voted MVP by her teammates.  Besides basketball, one of her favorite activities is to let her creative mind go to work.  She loves to sew and make different kinds of crafts.  Other than that, she enjoys working out at the RAC, shopping, and reading.

 21    Malia Corby  
Malia started playing basketball in the 1st grade for a recreational team called NYBA. She continued playing for this team for 6 years. In the 5th grade she joined a traveling team, the Seattle Storm that was coached by some family friends. They were a very successful team and traveled to Orlando, Florida to compete. At the same time Malia was playing soccer a hobby she have up in the 8th grade to play basketball. From 7th - 9th grade Malia played for the Redmond Select program and the Puget Sound Flight. She also played basketball at Redmond Junior High for three years. As a 7th grader Malia was nominated MVP by her teammates. In the 8th grade she made Varsity and was given the Coaches award. In her last year at Redmond Junior High, she was nominated for both the MVP and Coaches award. Malia's first year at Redmond High she made JV where she was voted by her teammates as Captain and was presented the MVP award. Malia enjoys playing basketball and can't wait for another great season.

 22   Stephanie Egeberg  
Stephanie has been playing basketball since she was in the 7th grade. She has been involved in the Redmond Basketball program since then. Stephanie participated in Evergreen Junior High basketball all three years playing two years on junior varsity and one year on varsity. Outside of basketball she also loves to play soccer. During the summer she likes to wake board and spend time out on the water. She also enjoys playing the piano, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. Stephanie's first year at Redmond High School she played on the Junior Varsity team and had a great experience. She is excited to learn, improve and be a part of the basketball team for the next two years.

23   Courtney Martin
Courtney began playing competitive basketball three years ago.  She played in the Redmond select program in the 8th and 9th grades.  Courtney also played for the Evergreen Jr. High Varsity team.  She has played the past two seasons for the Puget Sound Flight AAU program moving to the top team for her age group last season.  Courtney is an aggressive, tireless, high energy player.  She is looking forward to her next three years as a member of the varsity team.  Courtney is also a member of the National Honors Society, the Girl Scouts and does volunteer work with autistic children. When she isn't playing basketball, Courtney enjoys spending time with her friends, family and working out with Mike Lawson at the RAC.

 30    Mary Petrie 
Mary started playing soccer and basketball at eight years old with the local Boys and Girls Club and as a fifth grader, she made the sixth grade Redmond Select team. She continued four more years with the Redmond High School Select program as their starting point guard, averaging 15.4 points per game. Last year on Redmond Mary started several games as a sophomore and received the coach's award and academic award. She started AAU in the fifth grade as well, with the Seattle Magic and joined Puget Sound Flight in the seventh grade where she has continued to play. In ninth grade the team was the Oregon City-End of the Trail Champions and Mary was named Oregon City All Tournament and MVP in Reno, Nevada. She was top scorer of her team, for the 2005 season, with an average of 8.5 points per game. Mary also plays the violin with the Redmond High School Orchestra and has participated in Honors violin for several years. Mary has participated in leadership since the sixth grade holding various positions including President, Historian, and leadership camp counselor. In her spare time, she enjoys wakeboarding and being with friends and family.

32    Katie Kruger
Katie has been playing basketball since 2nd grade. She played for the Inglemoor Select Program until 9th grade. She has also played for Puget Sound Flight for four years. She tore her ACL when she was in 9th grade, but the experience has made her stronger in more ways than one! As a sophomore she played on the Redmond Varsity team and she looks forward to contributing to the team for the next two years. When she isn't playing basketball, Katie enjoys wakeboarding and snowboarding and, of course, being with her friends.

33    Kaitlyn Parrott
Kaitlyn has played basketball since 3rd grade. She has played in the Redmond Select Program since 6th grade, and also played Varsity for Evergreen Junior High. She played AAU in 6th grade for the Seattle Magic and for the past 4 years for Puget Sound Flight. Her basketball highlights include winning the Maui Invitational in 7th grade, both the March Madness and WTA Tournaments in 8th grade, and the Best in the West Tourney in 9th grade. Last summer, playing for Puget Sound Flight's top 15U team, Kaitlyn traveled to Oregon City, Phoenix and Memphis to compete in National tournaments. Individual honors include being named Best Defensive Player on several teams, and often being called on to defend the opponent's top playmaker. Kaitlyn ran Track for Evergreen JH last season, where she was undefeated in 21 races and the District Champ in 3 events: the 100, 400, and 4X400. Kaitlyn enjoys hanging out with her friends and having fun at whatever she is doing. This season, she's looking forward to working hard, learning a ton, and contributing to the success of the team in any way that she can.

34   Krista Simonson
Krista started playing basketball in the 3rd grade in the Redmond Parks and Recreation program. In 6th grade she began to play Redmond Select basketball which she continued through 9th grade. She played AAU basketball for the Seattle Magic in 6th grade, moved to Puget Sound Flight in 7th grade and she has been a part of the Flight program through this past summer. She played softball and basketball all 3 years at Redmond Junior High and as a 9th grader was awarded MVP of the Varsity basketball team and Female Athlete of the Year. Last year she was a "swing" player spending time with both the JV and Varsity teams and received awards for her academics and hustle. She enjoys her studies and continues to carry a 4.0 GPA. In her time away from basketball she loves skiing when there is snow, wakeboarding and boating when there is sun and spending time with family and friends.
